It took Harborough a few minutes to get into this game and it seemed they weren't sure how to tackle on the artificial pitch and it wasn't long before this led to a try for the hosts.
Harborough gradually began to come back into the game though and a trademark Harley Williams brute force driving run from a free kick saw them draw level, Charlie Barkworth adding the extras, 5:7
That slender lead was short lived though. Bedford kicked the restart, noone caught it so Bedford did and one pass later they were through to retake the lead, 10:7. Taking a leaf out of Cheslin Kolbe's book though, the speedier amongst the Harborough squad were doing a great job of putting off the home kicker and again no conversion followed.
It wasn't long though before Harborough retook the lead, a lead they then never relinquished, Williams again finishing a well practiced set piece move from a lineout. Barkworth couldn't quite land the extras from the left touchline, 10:12
In open play, a loose pass saw the ball in the open, Barkworth punted it into the home 22 and a great chase from Harborough put pressure on the home backs, Ned Bellamy being on hand to score from the ensuing breakdown. 10:17
Half time
In the second half, a trademark Harry Slaughter run saw him score in his first appearance of the season. The hosts had copied Harborough (& Kolbe) by now and were also putting off the kicker so it stayed 10:22
Bedford came back though and pulled a score back, again unconverted. 15:22
Fittingly, the last try of the day went to Williams to cap a fine individual performance. Barkworth landed a tricky conversion which proved to be the final score 15:29
