Harborough Colts v Leicester Lions Colts

The pitches were in great condition having been well looked after by the "Avocados" since the recent wet then freezing weather, allowing for a game of attractive rugby. It didn't take long for Harborough to open the scoring, Ellis Hepworth finishing off a team move and George Williams adding the extras. As usual, Harley Williams also then scored. It looked like Harborough would really dominate, but Lions came back into the game and although they didn't score, also prevented Harborough adding any more points before half time.
In the second half, Harborough's pressure began to tell. Ben Clowes broke the defence to score, converted by Williams 19:0.
Lions chose the points from a penalty kick to get on the scoresheet themselves, 19:3
Luke Amstrong then dummied the defence to extend the lead, again converted 26:3
Try of the day followed, a fine individual effort from George Williams who ran from the half way line, kicking ahead over the defence and winning the race to score, converting also after getting his breath back, 33:3
Final try went to Ned Bellamy, converted by Williams to seal a convincing 40:3 win.
