MHRUFC U12s vs Coalville

MHRUFC U12s welcomed Coalville on a bright morning.
With Harborough's numbers increasing lately, we were able to put out two mixed squads against a smaller Coalville squad. The lads threw themselves into the half hour warmup/training session before the game and were very keen to get started.

In the first game, Harborough started brightly and then went from strength to strength. It was a great example of teamwork, with runners making breaks confident in the knowledge that they had support runners with them. All elements of the game were good, with the forwards competing well for the ball at the breakdown and the backs exploiting the full width of the pitch. Harborough pulled away to a 6 - 0 lead, with Coalville grabbing a well finished intercept try at the end. Final score 6 - 1.

The second game was equally well played by Harborough, with again, all elements well executed. There was some great penetrating runs and superb offloads to keep the attacks going. Coalville were dogged in defence but the Harborough attack was unrelenting. Final score 5 - 0.

Although a lot of players had individually great games, it was the way they worked together today that provided the platform to beat a good team.
