U12's v Kettering

The Rockets and Meteors were at home to face Kettering, where they were joined with a few of the Comets players who with help from the other 2 squads also formed a side. Each of the three Harborough sides played two matches against the visitors who had two squads.
Rockets produced a couple of victories, 3:2 (with a hatrick for Tyler Smith) and 4:2 with an opener by Josh McGarry-Smith and a second hatrick for Smith to cap a fine individual performance. Kettering were a large outfit, far bigger that the home pack but player of the week went to Tom Kirk the home hooker.
Comets' Barbarians side performed magnificently given that they hadn't played as a squad before, winning their first match 2:1 with tries by Tom Bland and George Kenyon who also had a strong game. The second game ended 1:1, Bland again scoring but a late equaliser denied Comets the victory.
Meteors shared the points in an opening match, equalising close to the end to finish 4:4. Thomas Kemp, George Hallam and a brace of tries for Ewan Jones provided the scores for the home team. They won their second game 2:0 with scores by Billy Stamp-Ellam and another for Jones.
