Harborough U12's v BBOB & Coalville

Harborough welcomed Northampton's BBOB RFC and Coalville RFC to Northampton Road for a friendly triangular fixture.
First off was a game between the two visitors, which saw Coalville establish a strong lead in the first half, only for BBOB to fight back and win right at the end, Coalville 3 BBOB 4.
Fresh from their win BBOB, then faced Harborough.
A good team move saw the ball cross the width of the pitch with a nicely timed pop-pass from Max Fletcher teeing up Ollie Bunce for Harborough's first try. The lead was soon doubled in the other corner with Harry Slaughter ghosting through to score his first of many tries. His second followed shortly afterwards before a strong run through the middle from a quick BBOB player saw them pull one back. Slaughter secured his first half hatrick and Bunce then got his second following a lovely switch in play from scrum half Ned Bellamy.
In the second half BBOB scored first, but then great teamwork from the home forwards was securing ball for Harborough and it all to often (for the visitors) reached Slaughter, who scored another hatrick. A Danny Care style sniping try from Bellamy, a further for Slaugher and a try for Ned Corry saw Harborough end as convincing winners.
Harborough's second game against Coalville started in a familiar way with another try for Slaughter. Max Fletcher scored the second and a lovely chage of direction from Lawrence Adediran saw him rewarded for his efforts. In the second half Adediran and Bellamy combined well to free up Corry for his second, Bunce scored following a pass from Slaughter and following good play from Fletcher to hassle the visiting defence, the resulting loose ball was pounced upon by William Milne for the final try.
The try scorers make the headlines but it was a strong team performance with all players contributing to the two wins.
