Outstanding start for the Panthers

Outstanding start for the Panthers, one of two teams in the U12’s this year. Credit to all the players and parents with 19 players turn up in this our farthest away match. Real show of commitment.

From the off Reuben Bailey blasted through in the opening few minutes to score MH first try of many. Within the next five minutes we were 0-3 to MH. All the boys looked sharp, ready to play and all that training certainly showed. Good runs, great tackles, good rucks, some sublimed moments passing the ball. Above all they played with a fire in the belly attitude along with total respect for the other team. A real credit to all.

Lichfield were no easy side, good strong team, a few ball handling errors maybe made the game sometimes look one sided at times but the end of the first half they were coming together. Second half Lichfield played strong, but the MH boys were quite simply awesome.

Final scores were 1-10 and 0-6 to MH, so many try’s difficult to keep count on who scored, the whole team worked well together, self organising in scrums, playing as a team, all the boys had equal playing time and all finished with smiles on their faces. Great first match, well done!
