After an uncharacteristically sluggish start from Harborough's U10's Mischiefs, some determined defence notably from Joseph Stamp, Max-Marriot Clarke and Stanley Cockerill stopped their Lutterworth counterparts from gaining too much yardage over the gain line. Unfortunately Lutterworth managed to out-muscle the Harborough side and take a deserved lead through utilising their big front row. This however sparked a determined response from the Mischiefs who woke up and started to ruck with purpose, support the offload and run into space. After some fine work at the ruck by Matthew Liddle, Tom England and Shea Harley the ball was picked up by Charlie Latham who jinked his way through several challenges to score a fine try to level the scores at halftime. In the second half Harborough took the game to Lutterworth. Good work from Harry Fordham, Ollie John, Alfie Hilton and Barnaby Smith enabled the ball be secured and placed over their opponents try line by Cockerill. Throughout the period Harborough played with great skill and determination to emerge victorious which sees their season's unbeaten run continue.
In the second game, as Lutterworth only had 1 squad, both the Mischiefs and the Rascals played a half each against their hosts. The Mischiefs started the first half with vigour and promise, never on the back foot and they showed great continuity winning ruck after ruck which left space for Latham to score in the corner. Some excellent tackling from Smith and Stamp plus textbook mauling from Cockerill saw the Rascals take the field for the second half leading 1-0. The Rascals never looked looked like conceding. Good defence stopped any attack Lutterworth could muster and any ball the Harborough side had they looked to offload quickly. Final score 1-0 to the Harborough teams.
