Mischiefs and Rascals host Sutton Coldfield and Long Buckby

On a very muddy pitch and in extremely cold conditions the Rascals dominated the first half and opened the scoring after Dom Alston put Patrick Bairstow in for the first try. Further scores followed from Tom Kirk and Tyler Smith. Dom Alston then finished off a good move started by Sam Bullock after which Alston then put Bairstow in again before Giaan Mann scored 2 really good opportunist tries. Rascals thoroughly deserved their 7-0 lead at half time. Tyler Smith then played the second half for L Buckby as they were a man down and they came back into the game scoring 4 tries before David Stribling scored a great try after an excellent solo run.

Game 2 v Sutton Coldfield lost 1-4

The frozen Rascals found Sutton Coldfield a real handful as they powered over for 2 early tries. George Strevens was having an excellent game and had a couple of powerful runs and also was effective in the scrum. A good team try was finished off by Patrick Bairstow before Sutton went over for 2 further tries to leave the final score at 4-1 to Sutton.

The Mischiefs won both their games, beating Sutton Coldfield 3:2 with tries by Stan Cockrill, Jacob Dixon and Charlie Latham and Long buckby 5:2, scorers being Joey Stamp (2), Latham, Cockerill and Alfie Hilton.
