Market Harborough Under 10’s Rogues and Menaces were away at Coalville for their first encounter in February.

First to play were the Menaces and they proved too strong for the hosts. In fact they had to loan Coalville a couple of players, Toby Fletcher and Jake Holmes sportingly offering to don the blue and yellow shrink-fit shirts in order to get some games going.

Menaces ran out 5:0 winners. First up was Henry Bellamy, sneaking in in the left corner. Next Will Earland used his size and strength to carve a hole through the middle and although briefly halted, he was there when the ball broke free to finish off the move he started. The lively George Hooper then added the third before half time.
In the second half, Tom Stockley opened his account, finishing off a good team move to jinx past the last couple of defenders. Last to score was the dependable George Hallam, using his significant size and determination to power through to cap a fine performance. Bird and Vesty were never far from the action and Morris eqiupped himself well in the new position of hooker. Jo WIlliams ignored his cold hands for a fine run too.

The two Harborough teams then fought out a close encounter together, Menaces shading it on the day with a try down the right wing for the speedy Kempy, as a warm up for the Rogues in their game against the hosts.

In their only game against the home side, Rogues started strongly winning the ball with some fine rucking by Henry England. Henry Joule scored the only try of the first half. The visitors continued to outplay their opponents throughout the second half. Fine tackling from Ewan Jones and pressure applied by Ewan Jenner and Daniel Priestley kept Coalville at bay. Billy Stamp-Ellam scored a fine try for Rogues, followed by Joule for his second. The pair combined well in the last play of the game and Stamp-Ellam walked the ball over the opposition's try line to round off a four try win for Rogues. A great team effort once again.
