Mischiefs and Rascals v Casuals

Both squads played Casuals and then each played a short half against them at the end.

Mischiefs won 7 3 and in the short game at the end the final score was 3 2 to M Harborough.

Rascals v Casuals Won 4 0.

The Rascals were somewhat rusty early on as they had not played together as a group for many weeks. However slowly they began to find some rhythm and with Archie Gibbs controlling things at scrum half and linking well with Dom Alston the Rascals started to dominate. Francis Hunt was enjoying his new role at prop and secured ball for Joseph Smith to feed Tyler Smith for a trademark run in the corner. Giaan Mann was starting to make some elusive runs from centre and following one of these Sam Bullock picked the ball up from the ruck and went over from short range. The score was 2 0 to Rascals at half time.
The Rascals started well in the second half and seemed determined to get the ball wide and following an excellent move the ball ended up in the hands of winger Gregor Montgomerie who went close but could not quite get over the line. George Strevens came on at prop and after a solid scrum Rascals won quick ball which gave Archie Gibbs the chance to run over the line unopposed. Casuals did only threaten once when they looked set for a certain try but brilliant defensive work from Tyler Smith and Sam Bills prevented the try. The final score of the match was left to Tyler Smith who finished well after Dom Alston put him away.
