U11 Comets at Sth Leicester

Game 1 lost 0 -1 v S Leicester
The Comets competed well against a strong S Leicester A side and probably had the edge up front with Matthew Liddle and Tom England showing well in the rucks and mauls that developed. Shay Harley and Sam Bullock were exceptional with their ferocious tackling and kept the home team on the back foot until S Leics did go over for a try just before half time. In the second half Archie Gibbs and Dom Alston got the backs going and Giaan Mann nearly went over for an equalising score late on but S Leics held on for their victory.

Game 2 lost 0-2 v Lutterworth
Sadly this game was overshadowed by an injury to a Harborough player in the first play of the game. The game was then relocated to another pitch after a long delay and understandably the Comets had other things on their minds. They struggled to get into the match with Lutterworth going over for 2 early scores. The second half was significantly better with Comets dominating with Joe Stamp nearly going over and Charlie Latham having 2 excellent runs. Connor Byrne tackled splendidly and Joe Williams and Joseph Smith both showed up well in the backs.

Game 3 won 7-0 v South Leicester
The Comets were fired up for this game and wanted to win the match for their teammate. They were in total control throughout with Archie Gibbs going over for an early score followed by a superb solo try from Charlie Latham. Sam Bullock went over from a tap penalty and Charlie Latham followed up with another great run to leave the score 4 0 at half time. In the second half Ethan Jones showed up well and fed Jake Sterland for both his well taken tries. Shay Harley finished off a great move started by Joseph Smith for the final score
