U11’s versus Olney in the Joules Cup
The three newly formed U11’s teams - Rockets, Comets and Meteors took on two squads from Olney in this weekend’s Joule Cup. Fantastic rugby and bucket loads of team spirit kept the supporters entertained.

First up were Rockets against Olney 1. A more than respectable start for Rockets against a strong Olney side, the scores being level at the final whistle with two tries each. Comets opened their campaign with a one try victory over the second visiting Olney squad.
In the second round Comets faced Olney 1, they battled hard but were unlucky to lose the game. Olney were two try’s up in the second half but determined play resulted in a try for the Comets. However, time ran out for the Harborough side and they were unable to capitalise on the pressure they applied to the Olney side in the dying minutes.
Meteors were up against Olney 2 for their first game of the tournament and they showed great skills to win 3 -1.
The final and deciding round brought Meteors head to head with the strong Olney 1 team. The first half was a fairly even contest but despite Meteors best efforts the game was won 7 – 2 by the visitors. On the other pitch, the Rockets turned on the afterburners scoring six times with no reply from the visitors.
There was some great rugby played by both teams today and this provided all the supporters with an opportunity to cheer on the teams.
