Rockets V’s Silhillians A: 3 - 4
Rockets faced Silhillians A Team in the first game and were soon on the back foot as Sils scored following pressure from the kick off. Tyler Smith responded with a run from his own 5 metre line to score. Late first half pressure gave Sils a 1 try advantage by half time. Harborough restarted the second half and earned a penalty tap deep in the Sils half. Tom Stockley used his speed to even the scores. Sils came straight back at the home side to edge ahead, but again a superb kick from the restart gathered up by Smith resulted in the Rockets third try. In the last play of the game, Sils went over the Harborough try line to win by 4 to 3.
Rockets V’s Silhillians B: 2 - 1
Against Sils B Team, Rockets soon took control scoring the first try of the game. It was a fantastic effort by guest player Will Salvesen, resisting a series of tough tackles to dive over the try line. A Smith full pitch special put Rockets 2 ahead in the first half. The second half was an end to end battle and it looked like neither team would score until Sils kicked up field and used the pressure of their forwards to score. The game ended as 2 – 1 win for Rockets.
