U11 Rockets & Comets v BBOB & Old Scouts

First up for the Rockets were the hosts, BBOB's. Tyler Smith was on fire, scoring five tries. Billy Earland and Max Marriott Clarke (2) completed the win, for the cost of a single try for BBOB's.
Against Old Scouts, a tighter game saw Tyler bag another brace of tries and one for Tom Stockley following a great pick up and run to the corner. Old Scouts scored one. The second half was scoreless with much credit to Billy Earland. 3:1 win.

Game 1 v Old Scouts lost 0 2

Comets started slowly today and despite dominating possession they kept getting turned over and slightly out of position in the backs and this allowed Old Scouts to create an early score and lead 1 0 at half time. Sam Bullock as usual put in some crunching tackles and Jake Sterland had some powerful runs but did not really have the space to exploit on the narrow pitch. Another sloppy try was conceded in the second half and although the Comets did eventually find their aggression they went down 2 0.

Game 2 v BBOB won 5 1

The Comets were much more organised and determined in their second match and Will Salvesen darted through for a typical try from close range. Jake Sterland followed up with a second try from a powerful run and Joseph Smith then went over for a forwards score following a driving maul. The Comets were 3 0 up at half time. BBOB scored early in the second half but another Jake Sterland score and another Will Salvesen sniping run saw Comets win 5 1.

Game 3 Comets v Rockets won 3 0

Comets definitely saved their best for last and comfortably outplayed the unbeaten Rockets. Sam Bullock charged over early on to be followed up by another Jake Sterland solo effort and they lead 2 0 at half time. A much closer second half followed but a great team try was finished off by Joseph Stamp and the Comets ran out 3 0 winners having greatly improved in each game they played.
