MH Comets U11’s V’s Kettering A: 4 - 3
Early in the game Joe Williams jinked through the strong Kettering defence to score his first try of the season. Sustained pressure from the Harborough side followed and they were held-up in the Kettering try zone, only to score moments late from a scrum. The try was another season first try from Giaan Mann. A sneaky dive through from Will “Salvo” Salvesen gave Comets a three try lead at half time.
Kettering came out fighting and scored early in the second half. However, fresh legs in the Harborough pack following half time substitutions contributed to Salvo scoring from a maul. The tables then turned as Kettering upped their game scoring twice, but the visitors were unable to match the work rate of the Comets and the game was won for the home side.
