U11 Meteors away at Market Bosworth

Match 1. Mkt Bosworth 3 - 1 Meteors
After a characteristically slow start the Meteors were on the back foot from the off. A strong Bosworth pack dominated the set play enabling their back line time and space to pressure the Meteors' line. Two quick fire tries from the hosts came as no surprise but some good defensive work kept the half time score respectable. The second half again saw Bosworth score again through their big forwards. A consolation try from George Hallam was all the Harborough side had to show for the opening game.

Match 2. Mkt Bosworth 0 - 3 Meteors
A change in attitude saw the Meteors come out with purpose. From the off the forwards were dominant in the scrum and the breakdown which freed the backs who made the most of the territorial advantage. Tries from Thomas Kemp, Stanley Cockerill and Ewan Jones did not flatter their performance as this was without doubt the most impressive performance of the season. In every phase of play whether it was in defence or attack the Meteors never gave Bosworth any time or space to run.

Match 3. Mkt Bosworth 2 - 0 Meteors
The final match was perhaps a game too far. After a solid first half which saw the game ebb and flow the teams went into the interval all square. The second half again started with no side dominating the play but a defensive mistake saw Bosworth score in the corner. This seemed to energise Bosworth who made the game safe with another in the same corner. Not once did the Meteors' heads drop as every squad member gave their all.
