Mhrufc u11's, whilst a year older maintained their success in the county cup to extend their record of clean sheet victories on their way to retaining the county title.
First up were Leicester Forest. A tight first half saw a Henry Joule try separate the two teams. In the second half, Harborough cemented their approach with further tries for prop Tom Bland, the ever-lively Tyler Smith and Zack Green.
That win secured cup progress into the semis for a repeat of last year's match against Syston and it was a repeat of the result, Harborough securing a 3:0 win, Jake Sterland, Henry Bellamy and Tyler Smith the scorers in a dominant display.
The cup final was against Hinckley, who had performed well to overcome Loughboroufh in their own semi-final. Harborough were again dominant. In the first half, Tyler Smith again proved too tricky to handle and powered through to take the lead.
In the second half the other backs joined in with Thomas Kemp and Henry Joule combining excellently to secure the title.
A fine team move saw the ball recycled to half back Joule, who made progress then with a skilful double miss pass found Kemp on the wing. Kemp's customary pace saw him double the lead. Continued Harborough pressure saw them break through with Joule this time scoring himself and the victory was secured with another Kemp try, an outrageous step seeing him turn the Hinckley defence inside out for the fourth try. Harborough retained the title and again like last season without conceding a single try in any stage of the competition. Well done boys, you represented your 60 mates well.
