We have been informed that some damage was caused by a vehicle behind pitches two and three recently. Under no circumstances are any vehicles allowed onto our grounds unless authorised by a committee member who will have discussed this with our grounds team.
We have spent over £20,000 on our pitches this year, and our grounds team are all volunteers who dedicate hundreds of hours to maintaining them. This is not acceptable.
Can we all please ensure that this does not happen again?
Our pitches are our biggest asset. It is not only expensive to maintain to the standard that you expect to be able to play on. It is a complicated process with the weather conditions we have encountered in the last year.
