Mick Vale

Mick Vale

MH RUFC22 Apr - 08:51

It is with great sadness we have to pass on the news that club legend Mick Vale has passed away.

Clubs are built on solid foundations and Mick Vale was one of the best. As a player and volunteer he was fantastic, always there to help and give his time. A great bloke. RIP Mick
- Adey Neal. MHRUFC President

Mick has been a member of the club for decades as a player and as a volunteer. Affectionately known as Tigger by the younger generation for his boundless energy bouncing around the dance floor at party’s or playing football with the youth in the closed season.

Mick could always be found at the club, either marking the pitches, sweeping the clubhouse or many other thankless tasks that get taken for granted but needed to be done.
Condolences to Jenny and the wider family

Thank you Mick for all you have done for Market Harborough Rugby club!

Very sad. Mick was the number one volunteer at the club and literally kept the club running. Team Secretary when we had 5 senior sides, washing and arranging shirts, running baths, bar work, cleaning etc etc.
A great effort from an amazing volunteer. Rest in Peace Mick. Peter Rowbotham

Sad, Sad news. The comments and sentiments are credit to Mick for his dedication to The Club. If ever there was a call for a posthumous life member award I nominate Mick. Legend. Roy Saunders

Mick was a lovely lovely man and wonderful clubman: a great servant to both Kibworth and MHRFC. On the field he was a brave hard tackling centre and formed a wonderful partnership with John Curtis. Mick was a wonderful active vibrant man and will be sadly missed by all that knew him. Thankyou Valey for being my friend it was a privilege to have known you. My condolences go to your family. RIP Mick. Dave Coe
