Market Harborough Rugby Club's women's squad second ever game saw them playing Barker Butts in the Allianz IWS Midlands Development League (South) at home in front of a sizable crowd.

The game started well with an earlier try from Hannah Jenkins and she converted her own try. Barker Butts then returned the honour with their own try. The Harborough women started to get into the game with three further tries leading up to the half time whistle with second row Christie Ziebis, prop Eleanor Boxall. A further try came from full back Flora England with a 22-05 score line at the break.

The second half saw Harborough's women lift their game to another level with tremendous forwards play allowing the ball to be distributed around the field with ease. Second half scores in the game came from Christie Ziebis scoring two more tries, Nia Chattington scoring her first for the club, Eleanor Boxall yet another try, Flora England rounded her afternoon with four further visits over the try line. Hannah Jenkins added to her conversion with five more in the second half.

The final score was 79 - 05 to the home side, however Barker Butts fought to the end.
