The u15s were back on song this weekend for the County Cup fixture, running out 50 – 0 winners to progress to the next round.

Following a couple of games with uncharacteristically lacklustre performances, Harborough knew they had to pick themselves up and deliver to make it through to the next round of the Cup. With a few players returning to the squad, the matchday 22 all played a part in this victory.

Keiran Silcott got the scoring under way within the first couple of minutes. Alejandro Scott secured the ball from the kick off and made his way upfield, with the ball being worked out to Silcott who tore down the wing to score. Will Hallam converted, and Harborough were out of the blocks.

Cameron Jordan scored next with a pick up and drive from the base of the ruck and Harborough were 12 – 0 up.

Syston were not a walkover, though, their scrum was strong and they were putting pressure on the Harborough line. But Scott had other ideas. Ripping the ball in a ruck he made a break well in to the Syston half before offloading to James Melody for the score. Hallam converted again.

Harborough were now running wild and Ed Duggan was released to score on the wing, Hallam scored with a pick up from the base of the scrum and with two more scores before half time, the score at the break was 43 – 0.

In the second half, Max Dalby made a powerful break and recycled the ball well, before quick hands saw the ball move to Duggan to wrap up the scoring at 50 – 0 for the win. Both sides opted to play on for the full game, although the official score for the Cup would stand.

Huw Davies made a lovely break, resulting in a try, using the support runners well as decoys. Melody scored twice more running marvellous support, as he had done all game. They did concede one try wide out, but it was limited return for all Syston's effort.

The whole squad made it on during the game, and from 1 - 22 they were committed, energetic and powerful. A real return to form.
