Thirteen tries, eight different scorers (including a first try for Martin Redmond) – the u15s were firing on all cylinders.

Harborough put in a stellar performance against a determined Lutterworth side, with a great display of rugby right through the squad. After a shaky start and some solid scrummaging from the home side, Huw Davies took a crash ball from Tom Pope and beat a number of players to score his first of three, with Will Hallam converting.

The forwards were running riot and producing quick ball for the supporting runners. Hallam benefitted with the first of his brace for the day, with the pack making the hard yards for field position. Open field running was top drawer stuff.

Davies collected the ball right from a restart to tear his way upfield and offload to Redmond for his first try for the club, evading the covering tackle and placing the ball for a straightforward conversion.

Pope was pulling the strings at Fly Half and intelligently varying the attack. An inside ball for Cameron Jordan saw him power over for a try. With the score at 31 – 0 to Harborough, Lutterworth were not giving up. They camped in the visitors’ 22 but some heroic defending from Adam Stamp, Oscar Kay and Alejandro Scott kept them out.

Hallam took a quick drop out to chase the ball upfield for Will Nijjer to score. Another kick from Pope, this time out wide to the wing, and Davies gathered to score. Half time and Harborough were 43 – 0 up.

Ed Duggan was on the scoresheet early in the second half for the first of his two tries, a lovely step inside by Pope before releasing the winger. Pope took over the kicking duties, and converted.

Harry Grimmet grabbed a try to cap an all round fine display of powerful running, and was on hand for a second when Nijjer made a break and passed as he was tackled. Mathew Stamp was the eighth player to score with the try count nicely even between forwards and backs.

A fine display and tremendous 81 – 0 victory, with all 23 players getting at least a half of rugby. This was the Harborough team at its best, with no weak links.
