U15s v South Leicester

Market Harborough u15s were this Sunday on the road at South Leicester RFC with the glorious weather continuing. Before the game both teams joined together to mark a one minute silence for those affected by the terrible helicopter incident last night at Leicester City FC.
Market Harborough made some changes to our team for this fixture so as develop our players with 50% of the 15 players at any one time on the pitch playing out of their usual position.
Throughout the 60 mins this resulted in,at times some scrappy play but the overall skills of the team did show with three tries being scored in the first half. Moore, Carvell and Foxon all crossing the whitewash and Pollard slotting the conversions ending the half 0-21 on the scoreboard.
All change again for the second half with many players finding themselves in novel locations on the pitch but still the scrums went Harborough's way and some great defensive tackling meant that the visitors could not cross the try line despite at times being very close. Harborough however managed to breach the hosts lines through strong running lines enabling Foxon and Manz to score two a piece with Pollard and even Laurenti managing to slot almost all the conversions.
The final whistle blew with the score at 0-47. We thank South Leicester for their hospitality and a game played in great spirit.
