Sth Leicester v MH U15's

For the second time in a few weeks Harborough travelled to South Leicester but this time for the quarter finals of the County Plate.

The sun shone as the whistle blew for the first half and almost before the crowd settled the first try for Harborough was scored by Tunneycliff. A second came for him again after a period of play which showed variation in play. Not to be out done South came back and crossed the line a short time later meaning the score stood at 5-10. In response some great passing along the backs gave Moore his first try out wide. Showing they would not capitulated South’s number 15 made a try saving tackle against Foxon on the run - maybe with hindsight not the best idea!!!

A period of physical defensive play passed with errors on both sides but just before half time Westaway managed to break through and scored.

The half time whistle went with the score 5-25.

At the start of the second half South Leicester came out with increased purpose but Harborough had the bit between their team. As the opposition tired Harborough showed their fitness and scored 5 tries through Moore, Van Amersfoort (2), Pollard and Beech.

The final score was 5-56 and Harborough go through to the next round.
