Nuneaton were the visitor’s last weekend who put up a spirited display before being eventually overcome by Harborough.
The home side got off to a fine start with some strong running on the wing from Henry Ingram and good interplay between backs and forwards. James Melody was quick to spot the first scoring opportunity, managing to overcome a goal-line maul before touching down. This was converted by Thomas Mercer.
Henry Povoas was then left to score for Harborough, following a series of strong runs and perfectly timed offloads. Within a matter of minutes, Povoas wasted little time before scoring his second of the day, taking the finishing pass after a searing run by Keiran Silcott. Max Dalby converted. This generated a healthy half-time score 19-0 for the hosts.
Shortly into the second half, it was Dalby’s turn to add a try to the score board with a powerful run through a bewildered Nuneaton pack; this time successfully converted by Tom Pope.
Harborough’s pressure on Nuneaton continued into the closing minutes of the game when Will Hallam managed to score from a ruck just metres from the opponents try line in what has become the U13s trade mark ‘sausage move’. A successful conversion by Thomas Mercer managed to conclude proceedings for the day, bringing the final tally to 33-0.
