Harborough returned from the Christmas break to a challenging fixture against Lichfield. With an experimental and mixed development side, Harborough took the field on a crisp and sunny morning.

The early exchanges were even with pressure from both sides. Cold hands resulted in a few handling errors but Harborough had dominance in the scrum, whichever side had the put in. That dominance lead to the first try with Henry Povoas scoring from a number 8 pick and drive. The play stayed close and Harborough had to continue working hard. Before half time, another break by Ross Primrose released Will Hallam to score the try. Half time score was 10 – 0.

Early in the second half, Lichfield took the game to Harborough and applied more pressure, with the full back making a flying break to score in the corner. Harborough responded immediately though. Harry Grimmett raced through the covering defence and was brought down just short of the line. He was able to offload to Povoas who touched down for the score. Will Hallam converted and took the score to 17 – 5.

Harborough were now really hitting their stride with the ball passing through from 1 to 15. The next score came after a break by Sam Pindling who passed to Huw Davies, heading for the line and popping the ball to Spencer Derry for the score. Mathew Stamp lit up the pitch with fantastic run down the right wing, with Hallam supporting and scoring. Keiran Silcott was next to dart through, passing to Povoas to score. Povoas finished it off blasting through the opposition to make the score 34 – 5.
