MHRUFC v South Leicester U14's

This was a good match and despite the final score was a good contest with the visitors proving to be tough opponents.
The opening few minutes were contested largely in the centre of the park, but when the visitors pushed forwards into Harborough's 22, the ball came to Slaughter following a scrum and his power and pace saw him break through for an individual try, which he converted.
Soon afterwards, from just inside the opposition half, Bunce spotted a gap and broke through for a clear run-in, like his predecessor converting his own try for a 14:0 lead.
South hit back though and some good play saw them score in the left corner, 14:5. Half time.
Harborough changed half their side but the new team gelled quickly.
Bunce spotted a gap behind the advancing opposition and kicked over their heads with a tricky bouncing ball that fell kindly for Slaughter who picked it up to score.
Some good work by Clowes and Fletcher then saw a break down the right wing stopped just short, but Corry was alert to pick up the loose ball and powered through to score, with a maginficent conversion from Slaughter from the right touchline, 22:5.
South heads didn't drop though and they showed real spirit, pulling a score back 22:10
From then however it was all Harborough, Smith scoring from a lovely pass by H Williams. Bunce added another following being set up by Slaughter, resulting in the unlikely sight of a Corry drop-kick conversion.
In the final moments South infringed about 8m out. The ball was passed to Williams who used his power to drive through the defence for the final try.
