On a day when the cold and wet threatened the games, the slope at Market Bosworth ensured that the rivers ran downhill allowing the pitch to be playable.
It was the home team who started the strongest. Harborough defended valiantly for about ten minutes, but eventually the hosts prevailed and broke through to score the opening try.
That however proved to be the last danger for the Harborough try line.
From the restart, it was Harborough who laid siege to the home defence and after a period of pressure, Ollie Bunce broke through to level.
From that point forwards, whilst to their credit Bosworth never gave in, it was all Harborough. Slaughter was making his trademark runs and bagged a couple of tries. The hosts must have been grateful for half time as Harborough made wholesale changes, but that also brought the arrival of fresh pace . The final score was 45:5 to Harborough, with Bunce, Slaughter, Fabian Powell, Ben Clowes and Max Fletcher all scoring.
