Cobwebs blown away

It was good to get back on the training paddock which for the past few weeks had resembled a training pool!

It was also nice to welcome along our newest members to the U9's squads Jamie, Alex and Ed - All three fitted in well and will be able to get straight into matches next week as the Hurricanes and Mammoths welcome Syston to Northampton Rd whilst the All Blacks and Tigers travel over to Market Bosworth for the battle of the Market Towns.

The players handling was a little rusty on Sunday which is understandable given the long layoff and the strong wind didn't help, but thankfully we have a number of training sessions over the next few weeks to brush up handling and other skills in advance of the festival season. First up for us is the Olney festival at which the Mammoths will fly the flag for Harborough followed by our very own festival at which the Tigers & All Blacks will lock horns with the other sides then its the turn of the Hurricanes to represent us in the County Cup where we have a great track record as a club and will be looking to build on this success (no pressure guys).

It's great to be back running rather than swimming around and hopefully now the weather will allow us a clear run to the end of the season!

Regards - The U9's Coaches
