Lots of rugby action for the U7's

MH U7's hosted Syston and played simultaneously on three pitches. Mischiefs in their first game lost 10-8. This game was played 5 a side with James
Parr, William Milne, Hugh Salveson, Ethan Hack, Thomas Bailey and Thomas Kimbell all scoring tries, from a squad of 7. The warnings signs were
already showing against a well organised Syston defence. Game 2 - Parr with 2 tries, Salveson with 3, Kimbell and then a 2 try burst from George Goss
made for a close game, but sadly a result of 9 - 8 loss. So game 3 (after an intensive training break re defence) which resulted in a better defensive performance but sadly so was theirs and it finished 6 - 5 to Syston, which featured another hat trick from Salveson, top try scorer for the day, with some excellent mazy running. Main issue for the squad was staying on the pitch and not being pushed/forced (sometimes barged !) into touch by an organised spread defence. For overall play, and well deserved, George Goss was squad player of the day.

The menaces also hosted Syston at home with a round robin fixture the team this week of Oliver Barbosa, Joshua Brambini_Meadows, Toby Christison, Max Fletcher, William GROVES, Joshua Tomlinson and on his debut Theo Jones. The three matches were hard fought with great tacking from all players. Jones made a great first appearance getting to grips with the game and his new team mates. Plenty of tries were scored by the team with great passing and some direct running. All the team notched up tries with the end results showing the tightly fought games. The first game finished 8-8, second 5-5 and the final game 7-7. A great morning of rugby
