Tight games but the Harborough sides seal the win

The Menaces and Mischiefs played host to long Buckby, playing 2 games each and both were tightly fought games, The squad was made up of, Hugh Salvesen, William Milne, Carys Hamilton, Oliver Barbosa, Joshua Bambini-Meadows, Kia Harley, Ned Bellamy, Max Fletcher, William Groves, Liam Crabb and a new player William Harrison made his debut. The first game the Menaces won 11-10 with 4 tries from Fletcher including some great long dodging runs. Bellamy scored a hatric, with Harley, Barbosa, Salevson and Bambini-Meadows, adding to the score. The Menaces played well together as a team resulting in a win.
The second game was a draw 8-8 a great match seeing a lot of turn over balls, with Barbosa scoring a hatric, Harley scored 2 tries with salevsen, Bellamy also contributing. Harley made a great pass to Salevsen in order for him to score.

Mischiefs squad was a bit different to usual with 2 regulars loaned out to the Menaces and comprised Thomas Bailey, Ethan Beadnall, Roddy Dewar, George Goss, Noah Green, Raf Hodgson, Thomas Kimbell, William McGregor, James Parr, Barney Walsh and Cameron Ziebis. All the squad played their part in a successful morning. The first game was a hard fought draw, with the Mischiefs again coming from behind, as good teams do. The match finished 8 all, a great effort as this was against the Long Buckby A team, beaten earlier in the season at South Leicester by the Menaces by one odd try. Kimbell, with 5, Green and Walsh all crossed the whitewash, however the best try was a great full team move, involving all the players with superb support play (a feature of the squad's play commented on by the Buckby coaches as well), and finished and scored by Thomas Bailey, a real contender for the try of the season. It also started the recovery from behind. The tagging and pressure then exerted resulted in 2 or 3 turnovers to get the scores level.
Game 2 was again a good all round performance by all the squad and was won 8-6, a debut try double by Ethan Beadnall, only playing his second match, having joined recently, showing great promise and clearly enjoys the game. Walsh and Kimbell also scored, but James Parr scored a really good hat-trick, to seal the result.
The improvement in the squad this season is shown by the fact that last year they could only manage one draw and lost the other three matches played against today's opposition.
