The U8 Menaces (with Hugh Salveson guesting) visited Stamford RUFC for their festival.
The squad have really developed over the season, with great passing and off-loading. Menaces won their first game 9-5 with tries from Salveson, 2 from Max Fletcher, 3 from Ned Bellamy and Edward Bradnum
The second game against Stamford the Menaces after a tight first half managed to get a turn over ball securing a 9-6 win with tries from Salveson, Fletcher, Brambini-Meadows, Bellamy and an impressive 4 from Bradnum.
The third game the Menaces played Olney. In the first half they were down 4-1 but after a great team effort with the team rallying each other they turned it round for a fantastic 5-5 draw.
The fourth game against Bourne resulted in a draw 4-4. Tries from Bradnum, Fletcher and 2 from Bellamy.
The fifth game was against Sleaford with a very tired team, mistakes were starting to creep into the game with numerous knock-ons and turn over balls, the second half the Menaces managed to turn it around winning 7-5. This was the last festival of the season resulting in 3 wins and 2 draws and excellent end of season achievement, remaining unbeaten all year. The improvement has been outstanding and a credit to the coaches who give up their time week in and week out to support the children.
