Many thanks to those who have donated and we've now passed the £5,000 mark, just a few days to push that total higher if we can.
It's always sad to inform our members and community of the passing of former players and club members, but after a period of reflection it's also good to highlight the joy, fun and contribution they have made to the club. We said goodbye earlier in the year to Jack Morris who has tended and played on nearly every blade of grass we've ever had in our care. The impact and fond memories of Jack can be read here
Jack was one of our longest serving volunteers, players and members. It would be a fitting tribute to the man to have this project in place for our centenary year in 2023.
Jack’s contribution to our club has been immeasurable and has spanned many years, from helping build the first clubhouse at Gores Lane, captaining the first XV for several years and never missing a match. He spent the last years of his life ensuring we have the best pitches to play on.
The Jack Morris Memorial Stand is to built between our new dugouts and replaces the existing scoreboard. It will have a filming platform at the top with the current electronic scoreboard incorporated high up into the handrail. It will then provide shelter from the weather and a better view without the sun in our eyes.

Our tribute to Jack
If we could ever give a strong recommendation,
To build a club on a strong foundation,
Then Jack Morris is a name that would ring loud and clear,
Raise Kibworth-Harborough voices with resounding cheer.
Resolutely leading, coaching and playing,
Building, sawing, painting and spraying,
Knocking out windows, putting a door in,
Cheering and supporting, he even got a beer in!
Tractoring, strimming, sanding and sowing,
Painting lines, he never stopped mowing.
Heaven help the groundsman if the pitches aren't fit,
Because Jacks on the way and he's bringing his kit.
Farewell Jack you've played your last game.
At this club in Leicestershire we'll not forget your name.
