Harborough's team selection pitted youth and experience together and it paid dividends from the start of the game. Dan Bailey and Dave Docherty marshalled this young team with guile and determination.
Aaron Lyle provided strong robust running in the midfield, whilst Andrew Jarvis, Harris Medwell and Fergus Clarke impressed with slight of hand and fleet of foot. In the forwards Charlie Foskett, Lee Butler and Pete Wilson drove into the Oadby pack producing plenty of ball for the youthful Harborough threequarters.
The scoring was evenly spread through the team with Harborough scoring from all parts of the pitch. To Oadby's credit against a continuous onslaught, the visitors posted a brace of tries to remind the home team that rugby was being played by both sides.
Bailey and Jarvis controlled the midfield bringing forward runners into the game with Tom Martin and Lee Butler punching holes deep into Oadby territory.
The 2nds travel to Belgrave next week having defeated the Leicester side in the cup recently. This away league encounter will be a a much sterner challenge than the last meeting.
