Warm temperatures and bright sunshine meant playing conditions were perfect for this local derby. The early exchanges favoured Lutterworth and they scored the first try after a dart down the right wing.
Harborough fought back and after a couple of solid scrums good ball found its way out to James Harrison who quick feet saw him elude a tap tackle and score close to the posts. Joe Whitworth added the two points with an assured conversion.
The contest remained fairly even with Lutterworth's pack reversing Harborough early dominance.
A fine break from scrum half Fergus Clarke took Harborough within ten metres of the Lutterworth line. With Harborough looking threatening every time the ball went out to their backs a quick step inside saw James Harrison score his second try of the afternoon. Joe Whitworth slotted has second conversion.
The visitors lineout provided plenty of good possession, but errors and resolute defence meant Harborough went into halftime leading 14-5.
The second half was a scrappy affair with each team sharing both territory and possession. Replacement Will Gallagher took a quick tap penalty and burrowed over from short range. Joe Whitworth completed his hat trick of conversions.
Both sides looked to score at every opportunity but defence and handling errors saw no further score and Harborough ran out 21-10 winners.
