Aaron Lyle got Harborough off to a flying start with the first two tries. After that, Market Bosworth midfield were never very keen on tackling the Harbrough stormtrooper. Harbrough looked like they were a 'one man team' but the rest of the team soon got in on the show.
Charlie Standley ran a try in from the halfway line, like one of the Red Arrows, leaving a trail of defenders in his wake! The combative Fergus Clarke managed a fine finish in the corner.
The home team were beginning to relish the warm spring conditions and Sam Hiner and Tom Lockwood muscled over from short range to bring the forwards onto the score sheet.
In the second half Harborough committed a few errors close to Bosworth's try line and were unable to capitalise on countless scoring opportunities. Bosworth rallied and launched a number of attacking moves, but Harborough defended superbly.
Henry Davis got on the score sheet after some neat interplay among the backs and this was followed by a score for the dynamic Marcus John-Charles. Joe Whitworth added six conversions to add the final points to the eight tries.
Winger Charlie Standley said "It wasn't a perfect display by any means - a few dropped passes and had a bit of white-line fever at times - but in patches we produced some of the best second team rugby I've ever been part of"
Skipper George Lee commented "I can't remember much about the game, I'm just buzzing with the whole league title....its been a great display from the whole squad over the season"
