Liam Southwell was one star amongst many as Harborough seconds once again demonstrated the strength in depth of the club with their fourth away victory in a row.

Harborough travelled to Olney with a squad of 20 although 12 were backs. Playing into the wind they showed true strength to repel everything the home side could throw at them. The forwards put in a strong performance, notably the front row of Sam Blades. Stefan Ziemelis and Rhys Charlesworth . This created a solid platform for the backs with Fergus Clarke at 9 having an excellent game.

It was Harborough who took the lead following a strong forward drive that ended when Josh Wright crashed over for a try converted by Joe Whitworth. Harborough then lost Josh Jones to a knee injury with Joel Nance moving from centre to flanker but their dominance up front continued. With the referee handing out four yellow cards in the first half the play was disjointed and Harborough should have added to the score when there were repeated penalty offences from the home side, but no penalty try was awarded. Harborough were then penalised for an early shove enabling Olney to clear their lines and the half time score remained at 7-0 to Harborough.

Playing with the wind in the second half Harborough produced some excellent attacking rugby and Nick Airey's boot ensured that they kept up the pressure on the Olney defence. Further tries were inevitable, with the first by man of the match Liam Southwell following a sniping run, with Airey converting to make it 14-0.

Andrew Jarvis added a third try again converted by Airey, before Fergus Clarke was put clear and ran 50 metres to touch down. Jarvis then added his second try and Airey's conversion made the final score 33-0 to Harborough.

The defensive display was once again outstanding and this was a well deserved victory. The only down side was the 4 yellow cards each side received, the final one resulting in a red card for Ryan Gibson, but this was not a game marred by foul play.
