Loughborough started the match with a series of powerful forward surges which led to a plentiful supply of ball. As hard as the visitors tried to compete they found themselves under pressure for most of the first half. Loughborough scored five tries in that period and a rout looked on the cards. Andrew Jarvis caught the eye with some impressive runs and crunching tackles and Ryan Gibson never shied away from hard work.
In the second half Loughborough continued to press their advantage and it looked like they would score at will. Harborough started to compete at the scrum and lineout and began to gain some territory. Jarvis made a half break and fed Aaron Lyle who crashed over to make the score 44-5.
As the match entered the final stages Tim Brown went over after a quick tap penalty.
Next week the seconds travel to Oadby Wygges with the 1sts for a double header fixture.
