The Thirds travelled to Market Deeping and didn't travel well, arriving late and leaving their boots and brains in the car they were down in the first ten minutes. But at this point they woke up and we had a game on our hands.
Battling for every ball the line out and scrum was dominant. A brilliant solo opening try from fly half Henry Davies which he converted was a shot in the arm and kept spirits up with the score held at 21-7.
In the second half the thirds were buoyant and aggressive scoring twice through Ed Sanderson and Russell Boa both converted by Davies. A last play try from a kick through and favoured bounce pushed the Deeping lead to 49-21, they deserved the win making the best of their handling and the fly half controlled play well.
Next week the thirds face Jimmies at home and need to get back to winning ways.
